Taking Part in World Book Night

I'm delighted to be involved with Lewisham Libraries' World Book Night event, which is to be hosted at Forest Hill Library, Dartmouth Road, SE23 3HZ - run-time is 4.30 to 8pm Saturday 5 March.

The event has been organised as a book party with the emphasis on informal chat and mingling, rather than people seated in rows. The evening will have 10 minute readings from myself and other published authors along with spoken word performances from local storytellers and poets and periodic 'book gifting' from World Book Night book givers. So you'll have a chance to walk away with a free book as well as the opportunity to buy a signed copy of my latest.

Other confirmed authors for this event are: Nii Ayikwei Parkes, Bronia Kita and poet Chrissie Gittins. MC will be experienced professional storyteller, Sandra Agard.

Courtesy refreshments will be available. The Library are taking bookings for this free event on 020 8699 2065. It would be great to see you there.

Publishers confirmed today that my book is available in the States. If you are readung this from State side you can buy on line if you go to Amazon.com or try the Barnes and Noble site. You can also order from any US bookstore, or it may even be on the shelves of one or two.

I may even fly over one day to conduct book signings and promote on Radio or TV. If you are willing to sponsor me then please contact me via my website. I am not fussy, just require first class or a private jet if anyone can spare.

Enjoyed my interview on BBC Radio London 96.4 FM...Dotun Adebayo Sunday evening show. I went on at 9:30pm, after the main theme of the night which was the New Cross fire 30 Years anniversary. If you missed the show I believe it is replayed for a week on the web....BBC Radio page...check it out.

A very special thankyou to everyone who purchased a copy of my book over the period of 2010 and also to those that have joined the BBG facebook page. I have travelled to Huddersfield, Birmingham, Bristol, West Brom and spoke in a number of venues around around London. It has been a good year and I appreciate all the interested parties and individuals who bought my book and also recommended to friends and family. All the reviews to date have all been excellent....please look out for more reviews...just google.
